I forgot my water bottle today. I walked up to the nearest Starbucks to get some water and an Americano. I grabbed one of their Ethos branded waters that comes in a plastic bottle. I thought to myself, “They should try a little harder with this water thing they’re doing”.
According to the label on the bottle Starbucks will donate $.05 to support humanitarian programs providing clean water to those in need.
I can’t help but to think how every bottle adds to our growing plastic problem at the same time. I mean, we’re eating plastic these days.
My question is: why not go with paperboard packaging? Like Boxed Water? Seems obvious.
I can see some people thinking that they should try glass, but glass is heavy and requires more fuel to transport (bad for the climate change problem).
BTW: I visited the Boxed Water Website while writing this post. They will plant TWO trees for every photo you post with the hashtag #Betterplanet!
