I’ve never been incredibly proud of this country. Half of my life we’ve been fighting BS wars and destabilizing huge chunks of the world. And right before I was born, the U.S. was bombing civilians all over Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
But this latest segment where we are supplying Israel with weapons to conduct an ethnic cleansing is a new low.
I can’t say it’s the lowest thing we’ve done, but it’s shockingly low.
It should be pretty simple: We don’t ally with countries that conduct ethnic cleansing. And more importantly: WE DON’T GIVE THEM WEAPONS TO DO IT.
How hard is that to understand?
This all happened under DEMOCRAT leadership. JFC.
I’m sitting here running a business in the U.S. and raising a family. This stuff really fucks with my purpose. Why am I here? Why am I doing this in the US? Why am I raising kids here?
What’s pretty sad is it seems most people my age, regardless of the political spectrum they are on, don’t seem to care. Or they don’t really understand what is happening. I mean, ignorance is bliss right?
And that fucker Biden. Even on his last days in office, he’s still giving Israel weapons. I suppose it’s possible he’s not even cognitively aware this is happening under his watch.
The death toll in Gaza is most likely erroring on the low side. The Lancet estimated that the death toll could be at least 186,000 as of summer of 2024.
What’s really insane is Netanyahu has been charged with war crimes! – And Biden STILL wants to help him out. That’s like going back to 1940 and sending weapons to Hitler. WTF is going on?
But Hamas Started It
Yep. Hamas started this specific round of violence. And that’s their strategy. They know Israel will respond with a brutal, over-the-top amount of violence. This will paint Israel as a terrible nation state which will result in arms embargoes, criminal charges and isolation. And for the most part, this strategy works – and yes, it’s all disgusting.
The bottom line is that Israel has gone beyond just “dealing with terrorism” to full-scale genocide and ethnic cleansing. A line has been crossed. You can’t eliminate hundreds of thousands of civilians in the name of defending your nation state. In any other country in the world this wouldn’t be permitted.
Timeline of Delivering Weapons for Ethnic Cleansing
The list below documents some of the weapons and munitions sent to Israel since 10/7/2023. Remember, this is all under Biden’s watch. The buck stops with him and he let it through.
10/17/2023 – Ships, Planes, Weapons, Troops: Here’s All the Military Support the U.S. Is Readying for Israel
3/2024 – Washington has approved more than 100 separate military sales to Israel since its invasion of Gaza
Only two approved foreign military sales to Israel have been made public since the start of conflict: $106 million worth of tank ammunition and $147.5 million of components needed to make 155 mm shells.
5/7/2024 – Biden Puts Arms Shipment to Israel on Hold Amid Dispute Over Rafah Attack
7/10/2024 – US to resume 500-pound bomb shipments to Israel
12/9/2024 – Blinken approved the sale to Israel of nearly 14,000 rounds of tank ammunition worth more than $106 million.
What other countries have done to prevent ethnic cleansing?
There a lot more countries in the world that actually care. Which I suppose is some sort of silver lining.
Netherlands
In 2024, the Netherlands ended arms shipments to Israel because of the fear that they may be used in violations international humanitarian law by killing civilians and destroying residential areas in Gaza. In February 2024, a Dutch court imposed a ban on the Netherlands government from delivering parts for the F-35 fighter aircraft to Israel.
Belgium
In February 2024 following the ICJ ruling, local authorities in Belgium’s Wallonia region reported suspending licenses for exporting munitions to Israel.
Japan
Following the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip, Japan suspended arms sales to Israel. The Japanese company Itochu Corporation announced in February 2024 that its partnership with Elbit Systems, an Israeli weapons manufacturer, would end by the end of February.
Denmark
Denmark is currently dealing with a court case that may result in the government suspending exporting F-35 fighter jet components to the US, because Israel is the destination for the finished jets.
France
President Emmanuel Macron called for an halt to arms deliveries to Israel, saying, “the priority is that we return to a political solution, that we stop delivering weapons to fight in Gaza,” that avoiding an escalation in Lebanon was a “priority” and that “Lebanon cannot become a new Gaza”, provoking an indignant diplomatic response from Benjamin Netanyahu.
